DIY- HOW TO DO EASY A TEEN-MAN´S JOGGING PATTERN

DIY- HOW TO DO EASY A TEEN-MAN´S JOGGING PATTERN EVEN BIG SIZES

 Hi, have a happy/nice day!!!

Today we`ll do an easy teen, man`s jogging pattern.

We may also use it to do pijamas to sleep.

  • THIS PATTERN IS FOR BIG SIZES TOO.
  • REMEMBER, IF WE USE PLANE FABRIC WE NEED TO ADD SEAM ALLOWANCE AND EASE SEAM.

We use ruler, colour markers, pencil, scissors, measure tape, paper....

We use stretch/knit fabric.

WE DON’T USE EASE SEW.

We use the paper fold in two.

NOTE: if you want your jogging be ease then add 3 to 6 cm to the pattern.

NOTE:

THE LEFT VERTICAL LINE  INDICATES THE LINE WHERE WE FOLD THE FABRIC SO WE PUT THIS PATTERN LINE (LEFT LINE) OVER THE FABRIC FOLD.

MEASURES NEEDED

WAIST: is the measure we take around the waist, not easy not tight.

HIP: is the measure we take around hip not easy not tight.
LENGTH WANTED: is the measure we wanted plus the hems.

KNEE LINE: is the measure we take from the waist to the knee and to draw the knee line.

HEMS: 2cm to sew the waistband and 4 cm for the hem in the bottom of the jogging.

WAISTBAND: is the elastic wide plus 2 cm to seam allowance plus 1 cm for ease.

CROTCH: is one quarter measure from the hip, the hip divided in 4.
FRONT HOOK: is the measure resulting from divide the hip in 7 and we use to make the jogging front.

BACK HOOK: is when we add to front hook  4,5,6 cm depends hip measurements, (see next board)   .

Till 95cm, hip circumference, we add 4cm
Till 115cm, hip circumference, we add 5cm
Till 130cm, hip circumference, we add 6cm

and we use to make the jogging back.

NOTE
WE DO BOTH PATTERNS, FRONT AND BACK, IN THE SAME FOLD PAPER.

WHEN WE CUT OFF THE PATTERNS WE GET ONE PATTERN IN EACH FOLD PAPER.

WE START CUTTING  THE BACK PATTERN (with no draws or lines) AND THEN THE FRONT PATTERN (with lines).

FRONT PART

We put in the horizontals a quarter hip measure …
Ex., hip 100cm divided 4 = 25, this 25 goes in the horizontals.

We put in verticals the longer we want the jogging plus the waistband and the bottom hem…
Ex.; long 60cm plus waistband: 3 cm plus bottom hem: 4 cm = 67cm

We join the waistband to the jogging.

We mark down the waistband line, we put 3 cm and draw the line (red colour).

We measure from the waist to the knee and draw the knee line(yellow line).

In the red line we mark a quarter waist, we draw a vertical line which is the crotch and we draw an horizontal line which is the hip line. (yellow lines)

In the hip line (yellow color) we draw a quarter of hip plus the front hook.
We mark in the crotch line (blue mark) and in the hip line (blue mark) the front hook.
We join both marks with a soft curve (blue colour)

MIDDLE LINE LEG  (we use it with plane fabric.)

In the hip line we mark the middle and from there we draw down a vertical line to the bottom line (green colour)

In the knee line we mark both sides the green line, a quarter round knee (blue line).

In the bottom line we mark both sides the green line, a quarter round knee (blue line) so the bottom will be straight (blue line).

BACK HOOK

To draw the back hook (green color dot) we add  to the front hook 4,5,6 cm depends hip measurements, (see next board) …..

Till 95cm, hip circumference, we add 4cm
Till 115cm, hip circumference, we add 5cm
Till 130cm, hip circumference, we add 6cm

Then, we draw down 1cm,
we join down with soft curve to the knee line and bottom line (green colour)we join up with soft curve to the crotch (green colour)

Well, we finish the jogging pattern.

AS ALWAYS WE NEED TO PRACTICE.

DIY- How to do a BASIC SKIRT for teengirl, lady.

DIY- HOW TO DO a BASIC SKIRT PATTERN for teengirl, lady.

Hi, have a happy day!!!!

Today we´re doing a teengirl, lady basic skirt pattern…

We use ruler, colour markers, pencil, scissors, measure tape, paper....

We use:
·        Plane fabric or knit fabric (with elastano, lycra).

·         Italian measurements in cms.

·         Side seam (in the waistband too).

Measurements needed:

WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the waist.

HIP CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the HIP.

LONG DESIRED/SKIRT LENGHT: is the measurement we take to where we want the skirt plus the hem.

HEMS: it’s 1 cm for the waistband and 4 cm for the skirt hem.

WAISTBAND:  is the same waist circumference measurement plus 4 cm to cross and 8 cm in high that we fold in half, so we have 4 cm in high. We use 1 cm for the seam in each border.

SIDE SEAM: we add 1 to 2 cms. In the waistband too.

 TIPS DOING TWEEZERS:

From the waist circumference of 70cm we add 1 cm in each 10cm more.
Example:
waist circumference is 80cm the tweezers will be 5cm (instead the 4cm) in the front pattern and 7 cm in the back pattern.
waist circumference is 90cm the tweezers will be 6cm (instead the 4cm) in the front pattern and 8 cm in the back pattern.
When there is too much difference between waist and hip circumference it’s better to do 2 tweezers in both sides.

FRONT PATERN

We start doing a rectangle with ¼ hip circumference in the horizontals and the long skirt we want in the verticals.
Example: hip circumference:100cm, divided 4 is 25cm, we put these 25cm in upper and down horizontals.
The long skirt wanted plus 4cm for hem and 1 cm for waist go in the verticals.

In the upper horizontal line, from left to right, we mark the waist circumference plus 3cm  this is for the tweezers.

From the upper horizontal line and in the vertical left line we mark down 1 cm and join with the upper horizontal line at right (red line)

We mark down the hip line (horizontal blue line) and join it with the diagonal blue line that joins with the waistline (red line) this is the hip area.

In the waist line we look for the middle, we mark a dot. We mark 1,5 cm   in each side from the dot. In the dot we mark down 4 cm and join with the side marks making the tweezers (red colour). (Use the tips tweezers).

BACK PATTERN

We start doing a rectangle with ¼ hip circumference in the horizontals and the long skirt we want in the verticals.
Example: hip circumference:100cm, divided 4 is 25cm, we put these 25cm in upper and down horizontals.
The length skirt wanted plus 4cm for hem and 1 cm for waist go in the verticals.

in the upper horizontal line, from left to right, we mark a 1/4 waist circumference plus 3cm  this is for the tweezers.

DIY Child´s Circular skirt with plane fabric.

DIY-HOW TO DO Child´s Circular skirt with plane fabric.

 Hi, have a happy day!!!!

Today we´re doing a child´s circular skirt pattern…

We use ruler, colour markers, pencil, scissors, measure tape, paper....

We use plane fabric.

We use a “light”(not heavy) fabric so it falls fine.

We use Italian measurements in cms.

We use the same pattern that we use with stretch fabric pattern.

We use side seam (in the waistband too).

We don´t use zipper.

Measurements needed with plane fabric:

WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the waist.
HIP CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the HIP.
LONG DESIRED/SKIRT LENGHT: is the measurement we take to where we want the skirt plus the hem.
HEMS: it´s 1 cm for the waistband and 4 cm for the skirt hem.

WAISTBAND: we use 1 cm for the seam in each border. This skirt needs a plane-band of 1 or 2 cm wide and the waistband long is the same waist circumference measurement plus 4 cm to cross and 8 cm in high that we fold in half, so we have 4 cm in high.
The band  may be fliselina (the lightest one), we use this so the waistband doesn´t stretchs with the use.

SIDE SEAM: we add 1 to 2 cms. In the waistband too.

We draw an horizontal line with 1/6 waist circumference PLUS the skirt long we want PLUS hem.

We draw a vertical line with 1/6 waist circumference PLUS the skirt long we want PLUS hem.

From the superior left corner of the square, we draw in both lines, horizontal and vertical, 1/6 waist circumference and join with a soft curve which is the waist (see the draw)

From these marks (the waist) we draw the long skirt wanted plus hem, in the horizontal and vertical lines and we draw several marks to make the curve. (see draw)

Well, we finished the round/circular skirt with plane fabric.

Now, we need to practice….

Hi, have a happy day!!!!

Today we´re doing a child´s circular skirt…

We may use plane fabric or stretch/elastic fabric.

We don´t use seam discount or easy seam if we use stretch/elastic fabric.

If we use plane fabric we use a “light”(not heavy) fabric so it falls fine.

We use Italian measurements in cms.

Measurements needed with stretch fabric:

WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the waist.

HIP CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the HIP.

LONG/LENGTH DESIRED: is the measurement we take from waistline to where we want the skirt plus the hem.

We draw a vertical line with 1/6 waist circumference PLUS the skirt long we want PLUS hem.

From the superior left corner of the square, we draw in both lines, horizontal and vertical, 1/6 waist circumference and join with a soft curve which is the waist (see the draw)

From these marks (the waist) we draw the long skirt wanted plus hem, in the horizontal and vertical lines and we draw several times to make the curve. (see draw)

Well, we finished the round/circular skirt with stretch fabric. With plane fabric we add 2 cm in waistband for easy seam, only.
Now you may practice….
