DIY Child´s Circular skirt with plane fabric.

DIY-HOW TO DO Child´s Circular skirt with plane fabric.

 Hi, have a happy day!!!!

Today we´re doing a child´s circular skirt pattern…

We use ruler, colour markers, pencil, scissors, measure tape, paper....

We use plane fabric.

We use a “light”(not heavy) fabric so it falls fine.

We use Italian measurements in cms.

We use the same pattern that we use with stretch fabric pattern.

We use side seam (in the waistband too).

We don´t use zipper.

Measurements needed with plane fabric:

WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the waist.
HIP CIRCUMFERENCE: is the measurement we take exactly, not easy not tight, around the HIP.
LONG DESIRED/SKIRT LENGHT: is the measurement we take to where we want the skirt plus the hem.
HEMS: it´s 1 cm for the waistband and 4 cm for the skirt hem.

WAISTBAND: we use 1 cm for the seam in each border. This skirt needs a plane-band of 1 or 2 cm wide and the waistband long is the same waist circumference measurement plus 4 cm to cross and 8 cm in high that we fold in half, so we have 4 cm in high.
The band  may be fliselina (the lightest one), we use this so the waistband doesn´t stretchs with the use.

SIDE SEAM: we add 1 to 2 cms. In the waistband too.

We draw an horizontal line with 1/6 waist circumference PLUS the skirt long we want PLUS hem.

We draw a vertical line with 1/6 waist circumference PLUS the skirt long we want PLUS hem.

From the superior left corner of the square, we draw in both lines, horizontal and vertical, 1/6 waist circumference and join with a soft curve which is the waist (see the draw)

From these marks (the waist) we draw the long skirt wanted plus hem, in the horizontal and vertical lines and we draw several marks to make the curve. (see draw)

Well, we finished the round/circular skirt with plane fabric.

Now, we need to practice….
